Weekly Recap 01.09
I am so excited to share this week's recap because so much has happened this past week.
The kids did not have school on Monday and it was NOT raining so we decided to go out to Bridgeport to read books and get coffee/hot chocolate at Barnes and Noble. We also did a little dream building in Crate and Barrel!
On Tuesday we had practice for our performance at church on Friday.
Wednesday was my Orange Theory class that I go to once I drop of Nikola at school. After working out, I ran to the European market to start my prep for Božić (Orthodox Christmas).
Some of the staples I got are pickled cabbage leaves for sarma (cabbage rolls) and pickled peppers as a side.
Milica and I also met up at Five Spice Seafood and Wine Bar for happy hour which was much needed!
Justin took the kids on a hike above our house. They are climbing a holy tree!
The following day after school Eva had gymnastics and once again we had kolo practice before the big performance!
Friday was Badnji Dan aka Christmas Eve.
During the day I got sarma and meat prepped for the next morning. Eva got home from school, all of us got ready and we made our way to church for service and the kids singing and kolo dancing.
Saturday was Bozic and it was so magical for us!
I usually wake up extremely early so that I can set the table for our feast and finish up the food I hadn't had a chance to either cook, set on platters, etc. Once we ate, we just enjoyed our Serbian channel TV, took a nap and played.
In the evening we went to check out Auntie and Uncle's new house that they just bought which was really exciting!
Alright friends that wraps it up for the week!
Hope you have a great Monday!!!
